Our commitment

AtalYatra is built on safe, reliable intercity travel. Every partner driver and vehicle must meet our operational standards before serving customers. We continuously review feedback and incident reports to improve safety across our network.

Driver requirements

• Valid commercial or private driving licence appropriate for the vehicle class.
• Government-issued photo ID and address verification.
• Clean driving record and completion of AtalYatra safety orientation.
• Mobile phone with active connectivity for trip coordination.

Vehicle standards

• Valid registration, insurance, and pollution certificate (where applicable).
• Working seat belts for all occupied seats.
• Functional AC/heating as per vehicle category and season.
• Clean interior and roadworthy tyres, brakes, and lights.

Passenger guidelines

• Share your trip details with a trusted contact before long journeys.
• Verify the driver name and vehicle number against your booking confirmation before boarding.
• Wear seat belts and follow traffic laws throughout the trip.
• Avoid sharing personal financial details with drivers; pay only as instructed in your booking.
• Report unsafe driving, harassment, or route deviations immediately to our helpline.

Women and night travel

We encourage advance booking for night and solo travel. Where possible, we assign experienced drivers familiar with the route. If you feel unsafe at any point, call +91 91557 72255 and, if needed, local emergency services (112).

COVID and health

Drivers are encouraged to maintain vehicle hygiene. Passengers who are unwell should postpone travel when possible. Please inform us if you require additional precautions for medical travel.

Report a safety concern

Contact us at hello@atalyatra.com or +91 91557 72255 with your booking ID. Serious incidents are escalated internally and may result in suspension of the driver or vehicle from our platform.
